Reading measurement is more detailed than a total download count. The inspected NRC app integrates services for article engagement, attention time, audience measurement and personalisation. These are distinct from delivering article text and renewing a real account session.
What activity is recorded in the inspected paths?¶

What remains and what is still unknown¶
The content/edition backend retains genuine guest phone_id, session and account state. Hide newspaper tab removes unavailable navigation; it does not create newspaper download access. Printed advertising embedded in an editorial image cannot be removed by hiding a separate ad element. Read full articles retains received body nodes and cannot supply withheld text. Use the original Android 6+ APK.
