Find the cause of a problem

The app is not offered, or patching fails

Compare the package, app version and build number with the supported app page. Check whether the input must be a complete split set. Record the patch bundle version and whether pre-releases are enabled. A newer original app does not automatically match an older patch target.

Android will not install the result

A signing-key mismatch can prevent an update over the original publisher app or a build signed elsewhere. Save the exact installer error. Preserve important data before changing installations; do not clear data as a diagnostic first step.

Maps, alerts or audio fail

Check the app's retained-service notes. Buienradar's optional Swrve control deliberately disables alerts. Maps compatibility depends on the supported release configuration. Playback coordination may still need its original server calls. An unknown host is not a sufficient reason to block it.

I still see a service in a network tool

Identify the destination, request time and action that triggered it. A request might fetch configuration, register push notifications, load an article or upload analytics. The name “Firebase” or a domain match does not settle which purpose it served. How to interpret evidence.

Report something useful

Open an issue with the app version/build, patch bundle version, selected controls, Android version, steps and the exact error. Redact tokens, account details, precise coordinates and identifying URLs from logs. Say whether a finding came from app code, a DNS record or an inspected request; each supports a different conclusion.
